All about Conquer Nandi Betta.

This oft-climbed hill is a rite of passage for cyclists, no matter what form of cycling you’re into – from leisure riders to amateur racers to those who travel & explore the world on their bikes… and everyone in between. This ride is ideal for those who’ve been doing some easier rides and want to take it up a notch or two… or if you’re practicing your climbs for our other adventures in Kodaikanal, Kyrgyzstan and Nepal coming up soon!

The ride has 2 loops – a 40 km loop (includes the climb up Nandi Hills) and a 20 km loop (to Jakkalamagadu dam and through the surrounding forest). One group of riders who want to do a shorter ride or head back early will do the 40 km loop and the second group will do both loops (60 km).

All participants should carry at least one bottle of water each and a small backpack to carry some refreshments and personal belongings. Those who bring their own bikes will have to bring a helmet too.

    Riding distance: ~40 km with 8 km of uphill riding.
    Cumulative Elevation Gain: 800 m

    Loop 1 and 2 (6hrs ride)

    Riding distance: ~60 km with 8 km of uphill riding.
    Cumulative Elevation Gain: 850 m
